The Cee Bee Center, established eight years ago in Fukuoka city, has now moved its base of operation to Takarazuka, Hyogo, in the Kansai region.
The centre provides Japanese/English bilingual support with a focus on English education, especially in movement programs, academics, speech therapy, and various other therapies for children with development disorders, and learning difficulties such as ASD, PDD, ADHD, Asperger’s syndrome, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia.
Programs include full-day, half-day, and after-school support classes for children; and services for parents such as counselling, consulting, comprehensive assessment, making IEPs, and monthly SPED support group meetings. Please see the centre’s blog at http://ameblo.jp/theceebeecenter for further details.
The Cee Bee Center works on a non-profit basis so as to try to help as many families and children as possible, without charging unreasonable fees. Discounts are available to low-income families. Please call the centre on 090-2859-7075 for details.
The centre owner has recently started a new bilingual Meetup Group for Special Education in Kansai. See http://www.meetup.com/Osaka-Special-Education-Support-Meetup-Kokoro-no-Kizuna/events/207306912/ for more information. — CECIL BURTON
