IB World School, K. International School Tokyo, has opened a new preschool in Nihonbashi-Hamacho, Chuo-ku. K. International Preschool (KIPS) offers an international education in English to children from two to five years old through an original inquiry-based curriculum that focuses on nurturing children’s curiosity and thinking ability, as well as providing opportunities to develop basic skills in literacy and numeracy. An extensive after-school program is also available and offers extracurricular opportunities for children to learn art, music, piano, and hip hop dance.
As part of their initial activities in art class, children were involved in developing art works to decorate the new school, which opened in August. The walls of the classrooms and the entrance hall are now adorned with colourful designs that represent the autumn season.
The new school is located three minutes from Hamacho station or five minutes from Nihonbashi station. Contact KIPS at 03-3861-1408 for more information or to arrange a guided tour. — CRAIG LARSEN
