The Jingumae International Exchange School (JIES) year started with enthusiasm on September 1.
Returning students were reunited, with lots of summer stories to tell, and many new students were introduced to the caring and curious members of the JIES community. During the first week, classes “broke the ice” with various fun activities and began getting into their PYP units of inquiry about “Who We Are.”
The JIES teachers have already started collaborating with the Japanese teachers at the nearby Japanese school that JIES cooperates with, coming up with new ideas for international exchange activities; they are committed to making this year the best year ever at JIES! — KENAN ULU
