Chiba

Kailua International School’s summer program starts July 21 and runs until August 29. Limited places are available for the six-week program (students do not need to attend for the full six weeks). Contact the school by phone on 047-479-7272 for more information.

Nanbo Discovery Camp’s English-language, residential summer camp, opened in 1999, is located in Chikura, Chiba prefecture. Hyogo

Ashiya International School is hosting its summer school program from June 30–August 22. Open to children two years old through elementary school age. Students may choose to enroll by the week. Sendai
Horizon Japan International School Sendai campus summer school runs from July 22–26 and July 28–August 1. The program offers an excellent opportunity for students to enjoy fun and exciting activities in the educationally stimulating environment of an international school. Tokyo

The British Football Academy is offering three Summer Soccer Camps in Tokyo for children aged 4–14, to be held at British School Tokyo, Showa Campus and Seisen International School. Camps run from July 22–24 (three-day camp at Seisen), and August 18–22 and 25–29 (five-day camps at BST). All children will be presented with an official BFA Camp T-shirt and certificate. New Hope International School’s summer program will run from July 28–August 22. There is a preschool division (3–6 years old) and an elementary division (6–12 years old). The Kanagawa International School Summer Course of 2014 will be held in two of their schools — Kanagawa International School in Totsuka, Yokohama and in the new school in Fujisawa. The course will be six weeks long, running for five days per week from 9am–2pm. Classes will start on Monday, July 21, and end on Friday, August 29. This summer course is an opportunity for children aged from 2–8 years to enjoy arts and crafts, dancing, and show and tell, and to learn phonics, reading, writing, and maths. Saint Maur International School’s summer school program for children from preschool (age 2½) to students entering grade 12 in the fall started on June 16. Students need not be enrolled at Saint Maur during the regular school year in order to participate in the Summer School Program. Japanese children attending Japanese schools are also welcome to register provided they are bilingual. There is no language requirement for preschool children. Treehouse Montessori School’s Summer Fun Program will commence immediately after the end of the school term in late July and will run until the end of August. Applicants wishing to join earlier may do so after consulting the head of school. We accept applicants from ages 1–7 years old. At Treehouse, we have a program designed for both learning and fun all in a nurturing and stimulating Montessori environment.
