Horizon Japan International School (HJIS) is pleased to invite parents who are considering its school as well as interested members of the local community to its school open house on Saturday, May 24, from 10am to 12:30pm, at the main building of the Yokohama Campus.
The day will include a presentation and tour of school facilities with an opportunity to speak directly with teachers and staff and ask questions throughout. In particular, the following topics will be covered: the HJIS educational philosophy, an overview of the HJIS curriculum, introductions to teachers and staff, and an overview of supplementary activities such as after-school programs.
Following the information session, light refreshments will be available during which time visitors and teachers are welcome to mix and talk freely.

Please note that parking is not available at HJIS, so the school would be grateful if visitors could use public transportation. If you do need to travel by car, please contact the school beforehand.
On another note, the staff at HJIS would like to take this chance to thank parents for their help at the school’s recent Japanese Culture Day, which gave students plenty of opportunities to learn about Japanese culture. The day began with a costume parade and later featured mochi pounding, Japanese calligraphy, the Fukuwarai game, and Japanese flute playing. Thanks to parents for their support!
