Regarded as one of Japan’s finest platforms for distinguished and engaging discussions, the International Center for Japanese Culture (ICJC) Friday Night Lecture Series presents six evenings of lectures led by specialists in Japanese architecture, history, literature, music, visual arts, and much more. The series offers the international community as well as Japanese audiences one-night presentations with the most relevant, engaged, and original chroniclers of the present time.
Upcoming lectures include “Shintoism and the Yasukuni Question” by Japanese history specialist, William Gater on April 25; and “Writing (Badly) About Japan” by novelist Trevor Kew on May 16.
All lectures are free and held in the ICJC Lecture Hall (Yokohama International School Annex Building) or in the YIS auditorium. They begin at 7pm.
