Japanese Culture Day at Horizon Japan International School was a huge success this year, with students having fun and learning all about Japanese culture.
As in previous years, the event started off with a costume parade. Many students dressed in traditional Japanese outfits and posed for their parents. All students were also able to take pictures in front of a beautifully designed backdrop that was created by the older students. After photos were taken, students participated in four different Japanese activities — mochi pounding, Japanese calligraphy, the Fukuwarai game, and Japanese flute playing.
The school would like to thank all parents for their help and support for the event, which would not have been possible without them. Everyone is looking forward to many more Japanese Culture Days! — KEMAL TEKIN
