This month’s orientation at New International School of Japan is scheduled for Tuesday, July 16 in English, and Thursday, July 18 in Japanese. Call 03-3980-1057 to make a reservation for an orientation or for a separate individual appointment.
The school’s summer program starts on July 9 and continues until August 6, with two-week or one-month programs available. Children aged 4–15 of any nationality are welcome to participate. The program is open to members of the wider community, as well as to current students. Classes are held from 10am–2:30pm Monday–Friday, with no school on July 15, which is a national holiday.
The regular NewIS summer program is fun and educational, and includes reading, writing, mathematics, science, and music activities, and features performances and presentations for parents on the final day of the programs. There is a separate summer program available to prepare middle school students for Japanese high school examinations.
