Aoba-Japan International School students enjoyed a two-night residential trip to Oshima last month. Activities included scuba diving, cycling to a ranch, hiking up a volcano, walking on the beach, visiting a zoo, taiko drumming, and swimming at the hotel pool, as well as lots of other fun activities. Staff were impressed at the students’ perseverance during the four-hour hike up the volcano, and also to see so many students overcome their nerves in the water during the scuba diving session, and to return from the sea excited about everything they had seen. — SHOKO ENDO
