Makuhari International School (MIS) has just started its official admission process for April 2012. An information session will be held on October 22 at the school.
Application documents will be available from October 17 and applications will be accepted from November 1–11. Screening tests for new applicants will be held on November 19.
The October 22 information session will be a good time for those interested in the school to visit and find out more. Mr Rogers (Head of School) will give a welcome speech and presentation in the school hall, after which the elementary and kindergarten co-ordinators will talk in more detail about life and learning in their respective areas of the school. This will be followed by tours of the facilities, during which staff welcome the opportunity to talk individually with families or parents eager to enrol their children. Members of the office staff will also be available on that day to answer any administrative questions that parents might have.
On another topic, during the summer holidays the elementary school field was extended so that students can now take advantage of an even larger space for playing and sports.
