Aichi International School (AIS) students went on field trips as part of their science studies. Grades 5 and 6 visited the newly reopened Nagoya Science Museum, home to the world’s largest planetarium. Both students and teachers were impressed with the 35 meter dome and the facilities at the museum.

Grades 3 and 4 went to Toyohashi Museum of Natural History to get some hands on experience of fossils and dinosaur bones. Students were able to play a variety of educational games, see numerous dinosaur exhibits, and then in the afternoon could see some of the real life animals in the connecting zoo.

Further field trips are planned for the other elementary classes, with Grade 1 due to visit a park to learn about eco systems and Grade 2 going to a farm to learn about animals and their habitats.
