At English Studio International Kindergarten (ESIK), Show and Tell is an exciting part of the morning schedule. Students are assigned one or two Show and Tell days each month, and they eagerly search for valued items at home to introduce to their classmates.
December 6 was a special day for me; it was my first time to see my daughter doing a Show and Tell. She chose a box of beads that she uses to make bracelets and necklaces. The week before she had spent hours hand-making bracelets for all of her classmates, and so she thought they would love to see what she used to make them.
Although she was nervous that her daddy was watching, she did a wonderful job presenting her Show and Tell.
As a parent, it is such a wonderful feeling to see your child standing up in front of the class and confidently giving a presentation. As an educator, I find that it is a valuable tool for building a strong and supportive classroom community. At ESIK, we love our Show and Tell time!
