West Tokyo Preschool held its annual Halloween concert and trick-or-treat party on the last Friday of October. This is the first big event of the school year, and it gives parents their first chance to see how their children are progressing in English, as they perform entirely in this language.
The 30-minute concert features the children wearing costumes that they then show off during a fashion show-style parade. Parents bring along bags of sweets so the children can go trick-or- treating at “houses” set up in a nearby hall.
The next big event for West Tokyo’s families is the Christmas play and concert on December 17, complete with a visit from Santa!
