Over 80 Nagoya International School Middle School students participated in the annual Middle School Retreat for three days at the beginning of September in Inuyama. NIS uses the retreat as a way to form bonds between and among students and teachers in order to help everyone face the joys and challenges of the year ahead together. Sports activities, games, theatrical skits, and campfires all made for a great time in the wilderness and mountains of Aichi. — ERIK OLSON-KIKUCHI
