Dolphin-trainer-turned-activist Richard O’Barry visited Nagoya International School on June 14 and spoke with middle and high school students about dolphins, the cruelty of capturing dolphins for the sea-park industry, and his role in the academy-award winning documentary, The Cove.
Students were able to hear first-hand about O’Barry’s involvement with the controversial movie, and ask a wide-range of questions about the movie, dolphins, the whaling industry, the media’s role in Japan, and activism in general.
