Goals We aim to achieve academic excellence in all key learning areas. We aim to instil respect for Japanese culture, along with other cultures, and, in doing so, develop awareness of cultural differences. We aim for our students to become global citizens who are able to interact with purpose and integrity with others in our community. We endeavour to help each child reach their highest potential in learning; to help children reach a fluent level of reading; to help children become active and independent learners who will grow to be active and independent citizens of society; and to allow children to participate in class at the same level as their counterparts in English-speaking countries. We aim to educate children to become globally-minded individuals and confident, independent learners.
Many students complete just one or two years of primary school with us, building a strong foundation in English-language skills, with many learning to read fluently. This enables students to retain what they have learnt and continue to progress in English, even though they may move on to a Japanese school with only weekly English lessons.
